Passive House approved for timber, steel and aluminum curtain wall systems.

As early as in 1999, RAICO Bautechnik had the first timber curtain wall certified meet the German passive house standard. Since then we have continuously striven after harmonizing functionality, economics well as energetic efficiency, and environmental compatibility. Today RAICO is the first curtain wall system vendor in the world to offer passive-house certified curtain walls made of wood, steel and aluminum – setting the benchmark in the industry.

To the construction industry, energy savings and sustainability will be the most important challenges and opportunities in the coming years. Modern technologies and systems can contribute decisively to reach the ambitious but necessary objectives regarding climate protection. RAICO Bautechnik has these possibilities available today. RAICO pursued the goal of climate protection in the whole manufacturing methods by using building components and materials that have been selected according to the principles of sustainability and recyclability.
For example, aluminum, THERMORIT insulation bars and nearly all other components are made of recycled material.

Additionally, RAICO is a member of A/U/F (Aluminum and Environment in Window and Curtain Wall Construction), an association formed by leading system providers and the Swiss Aluminum Association.
